We realize that you probably have a lot of questions regarding your wedding day, and we want to answer them! Send us an email or give us a call and we would love to take you out to lunch and answer your questions. In the mean time, here are some answers to our most commonly asked questions.
What is your shooting style?
Our main goal is to make you feel comfortable and happy. During the ceremony, we like to be as low-key as possible. We won’t be blocking your guests’ view or be two inches from your face. We believe that the ceremony is a sacred time in which everyone should be focused on you – not the crazy photographer snapping away. We do however, have some outrageously long lenses that make it look like we were right there.
During your couple’s portraits: When it comes to your couple’s portraits time, we put you in a beautiful place and let your love shine through. If you feel unsure about being in front of the camera, we have plenty of tricks up our sleeve to help you relax and get you feeling great in front of the camera.
How do you conduct yourself on the wedding day?
We pride ourselves on our professionalism and our connection with our couples. We always show up early, dress accordingly and act professionally. If you don’t know how to tie your tie, Shaun can do that. If you don’t know which leg your garter goes on, Skyla does. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day and we want you to have the best experience possible.
Do you use film or digital?
At this time we mainly shoot digital, but we also love to bring out our old film cameras when we can.
How many photos do you take?
We take a lot of photos throughout your wedding day, but when your final package arrives you can expect about 35-50 photos per hour of coverage.
Do you photograph smaller weddings, elopements, and vow renewals?
Yes, yes and yes! We eloped (and had a wedding) so we love the tenderness and intimacy of smaller ceremonies and celebrations. Please contact us for more details.
Because we understand how incredibly excited you are to see your photos, we always try to get them to you as fast as we can however, we pride ourselves in quality – not quantity or speed – and so these things take time. On average you can expect your online preview gallery within two weeks and your final package within 90 days. Our beautiful handcrafted fine art albums take about 60 days from the time you approve the layout.
Will all of the images be edited?
Yes, all of the image you receive will be edited to our taste at no additional charge. Retouching is available, but please contact us for more details.
Do you travel?
Yes, we love to travel and we are available for destination weddings worldwide.
Do you bring backup equipment?
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes, we do. Please let us know if your venue requires it so we can send them a copy.
We’re sold! How do we book?
Great! First, send us an email or give us a call so we can discuss your amazing day in a little more detail. We will send you a few beautiful things in the mail and then hopefully we can arrange to meet face-to-face over lunch or coffee. To reserve your date, we require a 50% deposit and a signed contract. No exceptions.
